About us
Practically everything has remained from the large farmhouse that was restructured into the Club-House de I Girasoli: the massive dark wood beams on the ceillings, the brick walls, the old farming equipment on display here and there, the floor of unifinished regular stone and old cotto tiles. You will breathe that country air sought and obtained by giving new life to the old farm. Where stables, granaries and barns once stood, there is now the club-house with restaurant and bar on the swimming pool; tv, relax and games room, the secretarial office and the pro-shop. The ambient is informal and relaxed, as are the customers. Here there is not affectation, which is sometimes associated with this sport. The charming meeting room which hosts two antique cars has conserved the original brick vaulted ceiling.. From the Golf Club I Girasoli it is possible to reach in few minutes places which are rich of culture and tradition, just like Langhe with their itineraries among castle and vineyard, or Turin center of 2006 Winter Olimpic Games.Golf Course
On the course, with its gently rolling hills, nature is the leading actor.The natural fairways of Golf Club I Girasoli, have infact been carried out respecting the nature and the local herbaceous cultivation.Having made this choice on 99% of the course no weed killers nor toxicant pollutive substances are being used. Only on the greens, but in very reduced quantities, essential products in order to keep them playable are used, these are chosen among a non harmful range, preferring anyhow to remove the weeds by hand. The result of this choice is a course similar to the scottish links, with a beautiful driving range where you can practice your game. It's an 18 holes par 71, designed by the founders of the club, with a foreseen extension project. No stretch of the course is near any road and among the poplar groves and Arneis vineyards that skirt the holes, the only noise one can hear is the regular sounding of the bells from the nearby Casanova Abbey. Last but not least the championship golf course La Margherita, 18 challenging holes few meters away from our course, for a bigger choice of golf.Staff

The driving range, with a 250 meters lenght, has opened and sheltered posts, to practice also with bad weather. Bunker, pitching and putting green for the practice are nearby. Here you will meet our three Pros: Roberto Mussetti, Stefano Ricchiuti and Massimo Valvassori at your disposal for lessons and clinics. If you like, you can join our individual or group Golf Clinic with our Pros, or if you prefer you can come with yours. Request a customized program to info@girasoligolf.it In addition to all this, in a green pinewood, you will find a 9 holes pitch & putt course, for beginners, and for players who want to train their short game. In a warm and sober ambient, there is a small lodge with twelve rooms and a few suites that make I Girasoli not only a golf club but an actual Country Inn, where guests can use all the club facilities, with reductions on green fees, also for the nearby course "La Margherita". The Girasoli Golf restaurant, offers a jorney in the tradition and taste of a riche and generous land. Local dishes wisely prepared respecting the old and wealthy cuisine. This area is famous for wines and the golf cellars offer a range of local and national red and white wines. At the Restaurant you will find our team to welcome you with the warmest smile. A gorgeus menu will satisfy even the most sofisticated gourmet. The Langhe hills offer a lot of attractions to the lovers of good food and wine: restaurants, wineries and international exhibitions like the "fiera del tartufo" (white truffle) which take place in Alba every year on october.
Lodging
The Country Inn is at your disposal with 12 rooms with bathroom. Furnishings are country style, and from the windows you can admire the entire Alpine arc, from the Maritime Alps to Monte Rosa.
